In the Secondary school at Oxford International School, we continue to implement the esteemed Cambridge curriculum, renowned for its academic excellence and global recognition. This curriculum provides a solid foundation for students as they progress through their academic journey, focusing on developing critical thinking, research skills, and a deep understanding of various subject areas. Our Secondary school educational process is enriched by a methodology that emphasizes Project-Based Learning (PBL) each semester. Through PBL, students engage in cross-curricular projects that integrate different subjects into real-life problem-solving scenarios, allowing them to apply their knowledge in practical and meaningful ways.
As students advance through the high school years, we place a strong emphasis on preparing them for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. These rigorous assessments serve as a benchmark of academic achievement and readiness for further studies. Beyond academic preparation, our Secondary school students are encouraged to participate in PBL initiatives that culminate in public audience presentations, where they showcase their learning, problem-solving skills, and creativity. This approach not only enhances their academic growth but also equips them with essential 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration, and adaptability. After completing Year 11, our students are well-prepared to pursue higher education opportunities at universities around the world, continuing their academic journey with a solid foundation and a global perspective.
